Prayer for Sandy Patterson's mom

Sandy's mom Marge had a stroke and is in the hospital in Oceanside. Her speech and balance have been affected, but, thankfully she is not paralyzed on either side of her body. She is going to have to be in a rehabilitation facility for a week or two and Sandy is working with a social worker tying to have her mom near her home instead of down in Oceanside. She is asking for prayer for a facility to open up in Anaheim. If not Sandy will have to stay in Oceanside to be near her mom and take care of her stepdad Jim (who is blind) Please pray for Sandy and her mom's husband Jim, too. If the facility opens up in Anaheim, Sandy's stepdad Jim will be staying with Sandy and Gary. Please pray for grace and peace for them all. Thanks so much. Linda

Connie & newborn baby

My niece Connie (AJ's mom) delivered her baby, Chance last Monday (3 weeks early due to complications) She & baby are both back in the hospital. Connie is being treated for postpartum eclampsia and Chance has jaundice. She has not been able to bond with baby. He is not gaining weight. Pray as the Lord leads for this precious family - We covet your prayers.

We are still waiting for results from thyroid ultrasound, and extremely high parathyroid hormone blood work. My mom is walking much better without help, and can now get herself up and down. However, she is becoming somewhat confused, and a bit more forgetful, and that is probably attributed to the meningioma growing in her brain. Thank you for continuing prayers for her, and my family as we make decisions concerning her care.

Dismissal of Court Case

Please pray for my husband in his court case against the administrator for the land that my husband has been living on for over forty years and has applied to purchase under the tenantries act. Please pray that the Lord diminishes any lies told to be told and against any that the administrator for the land brings anyone to tell in court on the 12th November, 2013 and that my husband wins his court case or that it is dismissed once and for all. Thank you for your prayers.

Mom's status

My mom was discharged from the hospital to home on Wed. Oct. 23. Physical Therapy determined that she would really not benefit from going to a rehab facility after all. We are waiting for an appt with Home Health Care. In the meantime, my sister and I are attending to her care at home. (my sister, who lives in Oregon, is staying with us for as long as this takes.) Please pray for our strength...physical and emotional, wisdom, and patience,and for my kids, April and Trevor as they cope, along with our mom's continued strength and healing.

Mom had a MRI on Sat.Oct. 19, which did confirm meningioma in her brain (not a serious concern). However, she was pulled up abruptly from the hard table that she was on for an hour by the techs, and screamed in pain. Her pain, and then extreme weakness and inability to stand continued, and on Sun. I took her to Urgent Care, where she was now diagnosed with sciatica. Upon returning home on Sun. in our driveway, Mom fell before reaching her wheelchair. 911 was called, and they helped get her into the house,where she said she was fine, and did not feel like she needed furter medical care. Sunday's pain was worse, and my sister decided to fly down from Oregon on Mon. morning to help me. We had to help Mom up and down that day, and decided on Tues. Oct.22, to go to ER. Her xrays and labs were OK, but they decided to keep her overnight for observation. She will see physical therapy today, Wed. Oct.23, and they are planning to place her in a rehab facility for a few days. My mom is very fearful of leaving her home of 63 yrs, and at 86, with some memory loss, and with limited mobility, deafness, pain, and her dependence on others, extremely nervous, and somewhat depressed.

My 86 year old mom had a CT scan done Oct.14. She has an enlarged thyroid with nodules. Seeing the specialist today, Oct. 17. (may be a chance a biopsy needs to be done.) CT scan also uncovered other medical problems. She has what is believed to be a meningioma (like a mole) on the right side of her brain. This is not serious if it actually is this. An MRI of her brain is being done on Sat.Oct. 19 to verify. Also, a small pulmonary nodule was discovered on her lung, which will be watched to see if it grows, and is not considered serious at this time. (Mom has never smoked.) And along with severe curvature of her neck, and arthritis throughout her body, my mom is in daily pain. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for Margarete. She has been feeling sick the last couple of days and had to go to the emergency today. They did lots of tests but could not determine what was causing her to be sick. She has an appt. with her primary dr. on Tuesday. Please pray the Lord would encourage her, too. Thank you so much.
