Having a hard time. Lots of pain. Can only take tylenol OTC and it doesn't help. Dr. gave me pain meds, but, they make me feel terrible and weird. I keep getting flashbacks of the falls...smashing my teeth on the pavement...creepy....anxiety...discouraged. Almost afraid to ask for prayer, but, here I am.

Please pray for comfort, peace and safety for Margarette's Son and daughter in law as they travel Sunday morning back to Philadelphia to see Margarette's daughter in law's father who had a massive stroke. He is 96 years old. She requested prayer for safe travels and that they would be able to see him. Also please keep Margaritte in your prayers as this is a difficult time of year for her without Bob. Also please pray that the scratchie throat she has will not turn into anything more serious and that she will be feeling better soon. Thank you and God bless you.

Praying for Trevor's discouragement and anger over his work. His schedule calls for 6 days straight of graveyard shift Fri. Dec. 21-Wed. Dec. 26, which will make it almost impossible to see family, and his aunt visiting from Oregon, and his knee and back are causing him pain.

My mom

Please pray for my mom concerning her arthritis which is in so many parts of her body...neck, spine, hips, knees...and is causing her extreme pain. Some days she can hardly move. She will be seeing an orthopedist in Jan., but at 85, she does not want any surgery. She has had bouts of depression over the pain she is experiencing.

Thank you so much for your prayers here is the latest from Kirk's wife: Laura Matteson Hi family and friends...so happy to tell you that all is going good for Kirk...and truly there is no place like "home" after being in an ICU for almost 2 weeks. Unfortunately Kirk came home and his roommate has the flu and sadly got it for the 2nd time since Kirk was hospitalized...so if its ok to ask..would you pray for Kirk NOT to get this flu..ugh.. and for his brother Bruce too for protection from the "bug"...and for David to get well and strong again... And Also... for Kirks eyes to heal from the double vision..he is wearing a patch on one eye at a time in hopes to strengthen them back to normal. This is really wearying and also produces a headache especially when using his eyes. On the other hand...lots of sleep is good and not alot too quickly is good too...so thank God he is doing so well...and may that flu bug get wiped out quickly... AMEN! Thankyou all for continuing to stand with us! You are sooooooo loved and appreciated!

From Kirk's wife "Hey Family and Friends...Ecstatic to say...GOD DID A MIRACLE...and thank you for continuing to stand with us till God says we can stop! Please continue to pray for the double vision...and the pressure in the brain and all to be ok during the night so he can get that tube out of his head...and then continue getting better...to God be the Glory...and THIS encourages and grows my faith. Be blessed everyone! xx ♥" Written by Jack Robertson: "kirk update this evening- pressure is staying down, just took an mri at about 6:30 and a scan tomorrow morning, still looking at enlarged ventricals in brain and being sure to stay ahead of any problems. dr told us this afternoon that kirk did have blood on the brain at whittier hospital but at kaiser they could find no blood in brain and they have checked first scans and dont have an answer for it! keep praying for kirks double vision, each eye is ok when used separately but dont focus together. pray!!! they put him back on thyroid meds the other day and he dosent feel so good on them that is why they took him off them a week or so before this problem."

From Kirk's wife Laura Matteson "Hello just before I go to sleep I wanted to tell you all that I spent a lot of the day with Kirk and just to let you know he is doing really really well. Tomorrow the drain will be completely shut down and they will watch him in ICU for 24 hours and if all is well he will then probably be moved to the lower level room and the drain in his head will be removed. When I left tonight there was nothing in the drain because there was no fluid so all is looking really good. Also the other area of concern was his double vision. In talking with the ICU nurses they say this is very normal for someone who has had this kind of situation and that it's very common that it will go away with a little time so that is encouraging. Kirk is still strong in vitals and with his motor skills..and eating good. He does tire easily with the eye situation sick good long naps are a good thing. Well that's about all for now..still all recent scans and lab stuff are all clear...hmm...must be God! :-) Goodnight! Xxx"

John Jack Robertson morning update on kirk from bruce who is living at hospital with kirk in his room. laura and kayla trying to get rest and work. cscan this morning and results later. doctors guessing that kirk might have been hydrocephalic for as much as a year or more(too much fluid in the brain) and when they stop the fluid drain soon they will be able to tell more. could have been accelerated by flu and fall. they may have to put in a drain from the brain to the stomach if fluid continues to build up. vision is still double and wears a patch on one eye and then changes eyes as doctors want him to build eye strength. pyay, again we are all called to lay hands on to pray for healing(matt 10:8, greater things by faith john 14:12) and special healing gifts(1 corinthians 12).some have even the special gifts as He gives one to one and one to another and many dont know they have them, pray. some of you young ones have these gifts, pray!

From Kirk's wife Laura Tuesday evening. "Precious Friends and Family...what an incredible..incredible 24+ hours its been...I am so tired tonight to truly even type...but I just want to mostly say THANKyou...things are better with Kirk...Kayla and I have come home tonight to get a good sleep and will go back tomorrow.. FYI...a contrast MRI will be performed tonight around 10pm to see what it is that is causing a blockage and what the source of this collapse was for Kirk. Tomorrow should hopefully be a "revelation" day and a plan to fix it! Kirk is in icu in critical care still but is very stable and doing sooooooooooooo much better! He has the breathing tube removed and tonight they are going to perform a swallowing test..if alls ok like they expect he can have some water...and then alittle food starting tomorrow! No In and Out yet..haha! And so still some stuff...but thank God he is ok and can talk and remembers everything..is moving and all...its a GREAT day and God is a Miracle Working God! Good night! Hugs to all and deep gratitude!"

Re: Kirk Matteson from little Vineyard La Habra. Keyboard player and fellow worshipper: The cranial angiogram showed no bleeding and no aneurism! The doctor said either the blood clotted and this stopped the bleeding which he called "the body healing itself" (God) or the fluid causing the pressure is the result of menengitis. Doctors will take Kirk off the sedation and remove the breathing tube tomorrow so they can see how he responds. They will do a PET scan and a CT scan tomorrow. Also, samples of the brain fluid will be sent to pathology to determine if there is any infection contained in it. Kirk will remain in the hospital and under observation. He is still in critical but stable condition. Please continue to pray for Kirk's full recovery. The family is grateful for your prayers and support.
